Emotional Transformation Therapy (ETT)

Some Wounds Go Deeper Than Words Can Reach

Some wounds go deeper than words can reach. ETT meets you there.

Emotional Transformation Therapy (ETT) is brain-based and experiential.

Brain-based means it engages how your brain and your body store emotion. Experiential means something besides talking happens in the room. That something is a color spectrum, plus light and eye movements.

You Stay with What You Walked in Holding

You sit down with me and your eyes stay open. I’ve trained in ETT, and I’m the one who brings in the color, the light and the eye movements.

You stay with whatever you walked in holding. We keep talking the whole way through.

You’ve braced for the version of this where someone walks you straight back into the worst of it.

Feeling something on purpose is real work. None of this pretends otherwise.

You’re upright, alert and in the conversation from the first minute to the last. You don’t go under for any part of it.

A first session looks a lot like a conversation with colored light in it. What’s different is what you’re looking at while we have it.

Your Emotions Have Been Sitting Where Thinking Can’t Reach Them

You’ve done talk therapy before. Something really difficult happened, and you talked it through honestly. The feeling of it still sits in your body.

Managing a feeling and moving a feeling are two different jobs.

Left where it is, the same emotional pattern holds, even after your life has genuinely improved. It shows up in your relationships, in your work and in your faith.

And your nervous system goes on behaving as though the danger is current. That’s the piece ETT is built to reach.

Why the Color and the Light Reach What Your Words Haven’t

Your brain and your body have been holding this between them the whole time. Color, light, and eye movements are how your body gets included.

The color is doing something while you sit there. So are the light and the eye movements. All three are aimed at how your brain and your body store emotion.

That’s the whole of it, and there’s nothing else hiding behind it.

What Happened Loosens Its Grip on You

What happened to you stays true. Its grip on you is what the work goes after.

The point is to work the feeling through in a way that doesn’t feel as traumatic. It’s still very powerful work.

A loosened grip means what happened has less say in how today goes. Old experiences lose some of the pull they’ve had on your present.

What that adds up to for you is what we’d find out together. That’s what an ETT session is aimed at with you.

Take the Next Step Toward Deeper Healing

An ETT session shouldn’t be the first place you find out what ETT is.

Bring your questions about the color, the light and the eye movements to a free 20-minute consultation, booked from this page.

Twenty minutes is enough to picture the session properly, and the decision about the first one stays yours.
